Each person processes information best in a different way, whether it is visual, kinaesthetic, auditory, etc. The team of Peak Aviation Academy develops the course content constantly, taking into account these methods and using a wide set of approaches for learning like text, illustrations, video and audio lessons, questions for assessment of retained knowledge, notebooks and others. Our aim is to create an interactive platform for education that is both modern and engaging.

It depends on your country of residence/ training. As an example: in the Republic of Bulgaria you are required to pass a theory course first before you can start flight training. In the UK, you can study in parallel with your practical flight training. 

Absolutely. We, at Peak Aviation, offer only the theoretical knowledge course at this time. Upon completion of the course, you have to continue your flight training with any approved or declared training organisation in Europe.

After completing your course you will receive a certificate valid for 12 months. During this period you must take at least one exam with the CAA. The remaining eight exams must be completed within 18 months. After that, the completed set of exams remains valid for another 24 months, during which you must complete your flight training.

During the program, you will receive all the necessary tools to retain the knowledge, which will assist you to pass the official 9 theoretical exams conducted by your local CAA. There is no need to invest in other books/study materials or question banks. We provide you with all this as part of the Private Pilot Pathway Program. After completing it you must pay an administrative fee with your local CAA for sitting the exams. 

• Minimum age – 16 years. For the issue of a Private Pilot Licence – 17 years. 
• Good physical condition. Ideally, hold a valid Class 1 or 2 Medical Certificate.
• Good knowledge of English language, mathematics and physics.

This will depend on how much time you have to dedicate to your studies and what pre-existing knowledge you already have. It will take you about 100 to 150 study hours. 

There are 9 PPL theory exams in total, one for each subject. Each exam consists of 12 to 16 multiple-choice questions and lasts between 20 and 50 minutes. You have 18 months to pass all nine exams, starting at the end of the calendar month in which you pass your first exam. The pass mark for each exam is 75%.

Each exam costs differently depending on the country you are in. In the Republic of Bulgaria, an exam costs EUR5, while in other countries it could be as high as EUR45. You will need to contact your chosen authority for information on where you can sit the exams. They will also provide you with the paperwork that needs to be completed in order to book them.

The course includes a minimum of 100 study hours. You can complete the course in as little as 30 days or as long as 12 months. It depends on you and your schedule.
